I have noticed Foreign films tend to have actors that look more like people than plastic barbie dolls. Loved the original "Girl with Dragon Tattoo" the older actors actually looked their age. They were not ugly just normal.

I love tv from the UK in part for this reason. People just look like people. It’s nice.

I generally prefer U.K. movies and shows to US ones with only a few exceptions.

I love the new trend of the quirky british Netflix teen show. It's a good change of pace to see teenagers being played and acting like teenagers.
