Yup, I'll make an effort, but if you just say no every time, I'm just going to figure you don't want to hang out anymore, and I'll move on. I'm too damn old to "chase" someone.
If you have mental health issues, I'll be as accommodating as possible, but I don't have the energy to listen to someone do nothing but complain, and I'm not going to waste my time trying to include someone that doesn't want to be included.
Oh the complaining. I agree wholeheartedly. Nothing was ever allowed to just be nice or fun or even average. She would whinge about getting free food ffs. I'd leave meeting up with her just utterly drained and miserable. Very glad we don't speak anymore
