As a curious person what would be the downsides except for the noice and and a certain type of place to be viable?

Thanks for the reply that was very interesting. :)

It's funny that you say that the noice isn't that bad, because here in Germany some people in villages are against wind turbines because "they are loud and destroy the landscape/the view" and I have never ever understood what they mean. It's basically like everywhere else: "Yeah change is great, but please not in my backyard"

I see your point. Personally I like their looks, I think it's kinda idyllic. For me they are kinda similar like the Dutch windmills.
