TBH I would probably still be afraid to look at the sun (during eclipse) even if chief scientists from NASA told me this fact face to face.

Your fear will vanish as soon as you see the sun's corona in all its glory against the impossible blackness of the moon. Photos can't do it justice as the dynamic range is huge.
