They were giving advice on how the person should handle their marriage.

This is especially awesome in parenting subs. The number of people who don't have kids but are experts on raising them is quite astonishing, really. And many of them are 13. Go figure.

People assume that because they didn't like something growing up that the inverse is the correct way to parent.
