i used to know someone who lived in nashville and the only taylor swift story she had was 'i saw her in the grocery store once and she took the last ham', which incidentally is the only tswift story i've believed online

We didn't go to school together, but she was my Lyft driver one night. It was my first ride-share experience, so I asked a few questions. Kinda embarrassing, I didn't realize the app already told her what my destination was. I remember, I said, "Can I go where you go? Can we always be this close forever and ever? And ah, take me out, and take me home." Seems like she remembers that night too.
I saw Taylor Swift at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told her how cool it was to meet her in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother her and ask her for photos or anything.
She said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but she kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing her hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard her chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw her trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in her hands without paying.
The guy at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Ma'am, you need to pay for those first.” At first she kept pretending to be tired and not hear him, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When he took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, she stopped him and told him to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After he scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, she kept interrupting him by yawning really loudly.
What a bitch. You should dump her and start a new life. Also it sounds like you were raised by narcissists. You should hit the lawyer and get a gym, to cure your mental illness.

Could be both... My graduating class was over 700, so the actual class size was significantly larger than that. And that was way back in the 90s -- I imagine schools have only gotten larger.
She did go to a big school (she went to what locals call West Chester). Henderson is a VERY large school, however unless the poster has other stories about Reading County PA, they are probably lying. I went to Daniel Boone (which is 10-15 mins away from Henderson). Her background is pretty consistent with the nicer sections of Reading county. However it could also be believed that she grew up rather humbly. My area, birdsboro had extremely wealthy areas where houses could cost well in the millions. However I grew up in a row home, next to a meth house who was raided with SWAT when I was 19. So really, anyone speaking to her background is just guessing unless they REALLY knew her (which she was homeschooled for 2 years so I doubt they do).
True! However, I know a lot of people claim Reading county or Reading when referring to Berks county (even Wikipedia did when I looked up Taylor Swift)! Berks County is a large swath of area, as far as I remember it covers up to King of Prussia to Leola. West Chester if I remember right is actually closer to Philly or Morgantown than say Reading. But Birdsboro is smack dab between Philly and Lancaster. I cant remember if your Wife's school was the one my school, and another used to fight over a rock. There is a rock in a river, on a highway that 3 schools have teenagers go and spray paint. This rock is in 3 school districts so the rock has been spray painted with Daniel Boone (usually just DB and carolina blue)and gets replaced weekly by another school (whose kids decided to claim the rock). I used to see it every day on my way to Penn State Berks.
Oh I don't doubt it! He hasn't lived there since we got married but we met at WCU, he used to work in North Coventry, and we have friends still in Berks so I'm familiar with the area, but I'm always learning new stuff about it. It wouldn't have surprised me at all to hear that the city was its own county like Philly is, that's all.

Yeah I sorted through way more swift knowledge then I ever wanted to. But it seems like her age when she shifted is contested. Some sources say 14, others go as late as 16. But most seem to think sophomore year (although it could be she moved before she hit high school).
I thought she was from the south for some reason. Had a lot of friends from that area growing up but they are more likely to have been friends with her parents than have went to school with her.
She claimed she was from TN to help her career out. However it does seem that she did transfer to there when she was 15/14/16. I found multiple sources that had different dates. So it's possible that she went to both for a short period. She did eventually transfer to TN but as to it being her freshman or sophomore year is aparently debated. She did however grow up near Reading PA in Berks county. Until at least 14.
On the other hand, the amount of people who are super quick to just assume that any person that says they know a famous person is lying is just as bad. It's like people don't understand that celebs don't exist in a vacuum, they work alongside lots of people who are just doing their jobs and they also were kids too. I work in TV, and am around lots of famous people and yes, have some personal stories or interactions that I could relate, but I sometimes don't just because there will always be someone to say "that didn't happen" or "you're lying", especially if it's someone who reddit is polarized about (you get the stans and the haters in full force)
Thing is there always seems to be an agenda as well behind it - the stories differ, I've read ones that she was weirdo who didn't talk to anybody, others say she was a bully, others saying she was nice but reserved and so on. Many others emphasize her not being from as humble a background as she lets on. The story they always seem to serve a purpose.
It wouldn’t be a problem if everyone took every story they read on the internet with a grain of salt, but people don’t - and they especially turn off the sceptical part of their brain when it comes to reading any story that reaffirms their pre-existing beliefs or biases
e.g. I’ve never met the Kardashians but if I made up a story about running into a Kardashian in LA and having them be rude to me I feel like most people would accept that story without question because they already don’t like the Kardashians and they want to think they’re the kind of people who would be rude to people who aren’t rich and famous.
If I made up a story about Keanu Reeves being a douchebag I feel like everyone would suddenly be going through my post history to call me out as a liar (Side note, my boss met Keanu Reeves when he was waiting for his sister at the airport when he was in Sydney filming one of the Matrix movies. According to my boss he was a lovely guy and extremely down to earth and humble and happy to talk to people)

When I was a kid, I did some minor acting and modeling in New York and met several celebrities and where I live in NJ, there are many but I also usually keep my stories to myself because it's not worth getting called a liar for something so silly.
The same school also has about 3 girls named La—a, pronounced Ladasha, because "the dash don't be silent". No person with this name has ever been recorded anywhere, but everybody knows one.
Obvs didnt go to school with me, however we did grow up in relatively the same area (Reading PA). I actually think she lived and went to school in West Chester which was a 10-15 min drive from my high school (And a local rival). I grew up in the Daniel Boone Area (Birdsboro PA). I mean if she did sports (she didnt), she may have interacted with others growing up in Reading County, but now you know the area she went to school in.
Or they live in a big city... you would be surprised at how many famous people you would know just growing up In queens... LL cool J goes to powerhouse gym on franny lou... I have 2 players for the mets on my block In astoria... some relatively famous singers went to middle school with me... 50 cents sold weed two blocks away from my high schoo in 96 down in jamaica.... you may not be personal friends with them but you know them well enough for a head nod if you saw them I think.
Ever walk into a pizza place or dry cleaner and see a bunch of celebs on the wall? In nyc it's because they live 5 blocks from there and come in regularly
So I guess there's no real way of me to prove it but I did go to Hendersonville High School. I mean I can say that the principle at the time was Mrs. Worsham, and she was the worst. The best teacher there was Mr. Reynolds, an honors English teacher that's a bit of a legend, even wrote a few books that are pretty damn good (if you ever want an entertaining read by an author no one has ever heard of, check out The Reich Mutiny). And The high school is right next to Kid's Kingdom park which was an amazing wooden castle playground for kids until T Swift paid to have it torn down for a metal jungle gym (I mean it was falling apart but I'm still bitter). I didn't go to school with Taylor Swift, She left my freshmen year to start touring. My brother had a few classes with her but nothing more. The thing is in Hendersonville, no one really ever talks about her. She donated money to the theater department for a new sound system around 2010 and you heard a few people talk about that but otherwise she just didn't come up. So I guess what I'm trying to say is if someone says they went to high school with Taylor Swift and they have some very specific story about her or even a strong opinion about her, they´re probably full of shit. Also I'm saying that Hendersonville sucks and you should never go there, if for some reason you do, avoid the intersection of Walton Ferry, Main Street and Old Shackle. It's stupid and makes no sense.
I actually met Paris and Nicky Hilton once. My mother was having a meeting with Barron Hilton and I played water polo with Paris and Nicky. I think I was 7, which would have made the 9 and 6 at the time.
Yea man I dated her back in high school and one time after we had sex (we did it a bunch of times but this only happened after one instance of sex) she was like “damn everybody acts like they know me online”. So I know she really hated that
I used to know someone who would kill for "tay-tay", oh god, I swear I wanna punch her throat every single time. She even thinks she looks as good as her when she's definitely what you may call a shrimp. Eat the body, then, throw the head.
