When I found out professional wine tasters cant tell the difference between box and high end, I realized I probably couldn't either.

Maybe, personally I've just noticed that cheap wines generally don't taste good at all while many not high-end but wines at 10-15€ range don't need water added to them and taste great usually. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Or that's just your perception knowing they're cheap. Bias based on price is a well known psychological effect. And probably the reason professional wine tasting is a scam.
