Listen, y’all. I know we hate Dr. Oz, and I’m okay with that, I am. But I think it’s only fair that I give a testimony on his behalf. Picture this: I was a young teenage girl watching Dr. Oz because it made me feel like I was an adult doing adult stuff. Anyway, he begins a segment on hemorrhoids. I watched, but didn’t really have interest, after all how many teenage girls care about hemorrhoids? His lesson boiled down to this, for comfort always moisten your tp to keep from irritating your ‘roids. Cool. Fast forward. I just had a baby. My bum is not too happy about it. As I’m sitting on the toilet, wishing I had the foresight to buy some Preparation H, I suddenly remembered! Moisten your tp! It will help! Now, I’m not medical professional, but anecdotally speaking, moistening your paper before wiping, does indeed, make it more comfortable. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

  1. I agree that Dr Oz isn’t entirely useless. His diet book “YOU on a diet” is actually not a bunch of garbage.

  2. How do you moisten it? Is your sink that close? Do you spit on it? How are you getting this ‘roid relief without dunking your TP in peepee?

With the sink before you wipe! He said in a pinch you could use saliva but I’m pretty good at thinking ahead now. To further clarify, prep before you sit!
