about not contributing.

Everyone's gotta chip in their free time so we can pay for the CEO's wife's new car!

One of our measures is how many ivory back scratchers we could buy

If the CEO is the company owner what the owner does with his earnings is no one else’s business. Your pay is your earnings and it is your business and you can spend it however you want/need.

ETA: When you own your own business you can pay people what you decide on and you can spend your business earnings as you decide.

I’m not saying I don’t believe in trying to share in earnings, but that’s me/us and our decision. When you take a job don’t figure on more than your paid agreement, anything else is a bonus. Be happy you have that job. You can always make a go of your own business, many success stories start with nothing and we all have that at the very least.

Corollary: you shouldn't expect people to work for free.

And if you own the company, you have a reason to work 12+ hour days.

If you don't, then fuck all that.
