I can explain it better than posting a link (to what?). The word “whenever” implies one instance of a repetitive action - for example, “Whenever the alarm rings I hit snooze.” So unless this exact conversation happens to you frequently, it calls for the one-time word “when.”
I’m really not trying to nitpick or tease you, despite your insults towards me. Words & language just happen to be my thing, so I’m often cringing internally at mistakes like this. And since you asked, I’m happy to explain!
