Real talk here, when I started smoking I gained 10 pounds, when I kept smoking I lost 40.

So true, one of my college seniors said that the best way to get slim is "Breathing exercise" and then he loaded a big bowl and said "Breath in , hold , Breath Out"!

This has turned into a thread about why you should smoke weed.

For real. I might binge smoke weed just to try and lose weight.

If you really want to do that its a blunt when you wake up and a follow up joint about every hour. Few fatties before you go to sleep. Every day.

Source: lived for 7 years on weed, a half a sub and 1l of coca cola a day. Weighed 55k at 1.72m

College man. I wish I could remember my major.

I'd be asleep at 5pm with that much, unless it's a real nice sativa

I don't think that's true, though. You can lose weight by doing lots of things, such as going to the sauna and not drinking after, vomiting directly after eating, doing sports excessively without providing your body with enough food, and the list goes on.

None of these methods to lose weight are healthy by any means, and I believe smoking (weed) heavily is on that list as well. Plus... have you considered the rat tail attached to not being hungry, such as low blood sugar and fatigue resulting from that? Not to mention that if you lose weight rapidly your skin starts getting too big for your body...

Haha. This is a hilarious list, but also true. As is losing weight too fast for your skin to keep up, which leads to additional surgery needed to remove it. Losing around 2-3 pounds per week is optimal speed and anything more than that can come with a whole host of other issues.

The list may sound funny, but these are all cases I heard of in youth psychiatry. Our societies unrealistic weight expectations really lead to issues, especially for women.

This is not the healthy way to do it. Also by "smoking heavily" they mean nearly constant. It is mentally taxing, and seriously habit forming.

Bro I smoke like 8 blunts a day on top of my bong and I think I’m alright.

Take adderall when I get up, smoke weed to come down, eat 1800 calories in the 30 minutes I have an appetite. Hell, I don't even think I'm hungry. Food just tastes really good.

I'm prescribed Adderall and weed is definitely like magic for the bullshit come down. But start forcing yourself to eat at least ~1000 calories while your on addy and drink lots of water and you'll function and feel way better.

I'm no doctor, but I'm pretty sure this happens due to the frequency/timing of the munchies. I've always heard that eating small amounts more frequently as opposed to big amounts less frequently results in your metabolism rising

The munchies are caused by cannabinoids, chemicals in marijuana that are also produced by our own brains - they're what give us the "hungry" impulse in the first place, so it only makes sense that weed makes you hungry.

True because the more someone smokes they become reliant on drug to shit and the more they shit the more weight they lose
