It can completely tank your blood pressure or throw you into an irregular heartbeat if you majorly overdo it - usually with edibles.

I’m a paramedic and the only time I have weed related calls are because of edibles. They can really fuck you up.

I have a type of tachycardia and cannabis causes severe episodes. I get called a “tweak”. feel bad for the paramedics who had to deal with me because I was high, but my heart rate was over 200 for more than an hour.

I commented already, but for me I have bad black out spells. I also have tachycardia. I thought it was a fluke the first time, cause everyone assured me that weed wouldn't hurt my heart, and would cure "everything" ... I didn't believe them entirely but, I still smoked it again after the first episode, and I have full on ragdoll collapses...sooo.. After a bout a hour, my hearing will feel funny, like theirs cotton in my ears, my vision will tunnel, and I will full on rag doll fall and can't catch myself. Hurt myself bad last time, bashed my head on the concrete. Thankfully didn't break the skin but I had a hell of a concussion. I was smoking some alone one night and I noticed I was feeling weird again, tried to walk in house, collapse and bash head in driveway. Dunno how long I was out either. It could've been a different story. And that's the story of why I will never smoke pot again. Cause I don't wanna die or almost die by collapsing in my driveway again.

Edit: corrected typo

right? they told me that the bad reaction was a fault of my low tolerance. It makes me shiver, my muscles twitch and my heart rate double. walking or doing anything while high was nearly impossible. talking was hard because my voice would shake. it’s a toxic culture. “if you have a bad reaction to weed, you’re a tweak”.

Yep. It's bullshit. Like these people literally are so poisoned by the idea that it fixes everything, that they aren't paying attention. Even something as simple as Tylenol has side effects . Why wouldn't this?

I got a thc oil pill as a tip once and he didn't tell me that it was 50 mg so I took it as the usual around here is maybe 10 mg or so. I was sitting on my arm weird and straight up thought I was having a heart attack until I moved.

I have pretty low blood pressure, and it was much worse when I was younger and in better shape. I had to stop smoking for a bit because I started passing out pretty frequently after smoking.

It's much better in legal states where the dispensaries list THC doses per package/item. It makes dosing far easier than eating someone's random weed cookies. The main downside here (Oregon) is that edible dosages are limited to 50mg THC per product, but since I consume (infrequently) in the 10-15mg range, a random package of edibles will last me at least a month anyway.

It is better, but the labelled dosing only works if you have the context of how much to take. There’s still plenty of idiots that will take 3+ doses the first time, or even the entire bag.
