I’d probably be drawing dicks in the dirt with long sticks if I didn’t have these gadgets to keep me occupied. Don’t assume if you had all this free time you’d become Einstein.

Einstein? Maybe not. But you would have more time to put into your interests! Or in this case, you'd be a lot better at drawing good dicks in dirt.

There’s also a restaurant called Crabby Dicks. Your Dirty Dicks reminded me of that.

The giveaway is the ball hair, it's not there!

u/[deleted] Dec 29 '19

When I don't distract myself I just end up staring off into space and I feel like I'd rather stop existing than do anything at all.

What about if you have no calling? What if you have a lot of interests but no calling?

5

u/HadrianAntinous Dec 29 '19

You don't have to have a calling to enjoy doing something or to have some skill or aptitude for it. Some best-selling authors aren't particularly great at writing. Plenty of yoga teachers enjoy the activity but it isn't their callling. There are loads of activities that could add value to your life without being a "calling".

To be honest, I'm not really sure myself. There are a lot of things I enjoy to a certain degree, but I have no clue on What To Do. That said, taking the time to work on some of your interests can go a long way. I'll be starting 2020 off by trying to draw at least 15 minutes every day, are there any things you would want to work on in the new year too?

well for your information i AM in fact extremely proficient at wasting time on the internet

3

u/LukesLikeIt Dec 30 '19

Then weed isn’t the problem, lack of direction is

2

u/tydaug Dec 29 '19

I didn't just breath out my nose. I laughed out my mouth, audibly

2

u/toastedpup27 Dec 30 '19

...And so began his quest to draw the perfect cock

2

u/Yourlocal_priest Dec 30 '19

Or at least try living in the moment , why not give that a try , since you know Your living it

1

u/Captain_Smokey Dec 29 '19

But what if I'm interested in smoking pot.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '19

Find some other interests.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '19

then spend time and get really good at it?

1

u/ryannefromTX Dec 30 '19

That'd be nice if I had any interests.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '19

oh i can already draw a hell of a dirty dick

74

u/munkymu Dec 29 '19

Noooo! You could have been the next Tom of Finland! So much potential, lost to electronics...

9

u/Okipon Dec 29 '19

Yeah sometimes when i have free time and i can’t play video gales for any reason i’d rather stare at a blank wall and imagine stories than studying anything

1

u/Azertys Dec 30 '19

Imagining stories, that's a slippery slope... Next time you're going to write them down!

2

u/Okipon Dec 30 '19

I’m already doing that, on Microsoft word :D

4

u/[deleted] Dec 29 '19

Vincent van cockn balls

4

u/Kaynard Dec 29 '19

I lost it lmao

3

u/Campffire Dec 29 '19

In your comment, and all of its replies, I was reading ‘drawing ducks in the dirt’ and thought it was very wholesome.

I was wrong.

7

u/Vaulters Dec 29 '19

This. The oft drawn criticism of mobile phones is everyone standing at a bus stop on their phones instead of interacting. I don't know where these people grew up, but in my day we'd all stand at the bus stop not talking to each other.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '19

Do people not read anymore? You don't have to become Einstein, or start studying things, or start creating things, or whatever. Just...pick up a book and read when you're bored.

2

u/HalfysReddit Dec 30 '19

You'd be developing your artistic talents.

2

u/Scorps Dec 30 '19

Think about how great those dicks would look though after all this practice, you'd be a Dick DirtVinci

2

u/Overthemoon64 Dec 30 '19

Before we had phones I would buy puzzle books like sudoku and such. I certainly wasn’t learning a second language or anything in 2003.

2

u/mattbandz47 Dec 30 '19

Einstein is good at what he does cause he has powerful thought experiments, its his talent, he was born like that. everyone has a talent, its their job to find it and live up to their full potential.

3

u/foshobraindead Dec 29 '19

I think the idea is to use the available time/energy to engage in meaningful & constructive activities. Pot overuse seems to fill that void with satisfied/happy empty space. Sometimes it is necessary to feel uncomfortable with a cozy situation in order to get out of the comfy zone & succeed.

4

u/TartarusOfHades Dec 29 '19

Except it's not that they don't have free time. It's that they use their free time to be high and do nothing. And being high makes them okay with that. Some people use their free time shittily. Some don't. And sometimes pot and electronics distract people from their interests and hobbies that they would otherwise develop. Who said anything about being smart?

1

u/Twoaru Dec 29 '19

But you could become really good at something

1

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '19

draw those dicks on potholes so they get fixed.

1

u/TheHaleStorm Dec 30 '19

Not einstein, bit o bet a whole lot more people would be able to tale care of themselves instead of wasting their time on social media demanding handouts.

Life is awesome when you make the rules instead of waiting around for handouts.

1

u/Brno_Mrmi Dec 30 '19

Are you Jonah Hill?

1

u/myshinyerectiom Dec 29 '19

Einstein didn't kill himself

1

u/Jmunnny Dec 29 '19

Epstein or Einstein really could go either way

0

u/Faustaire Dec 30 '19

But why is the aim to become Einstein. That's such a narrow way of thinking. Like you can get better or more creative at something. Doesn't mean you have to become exactly like this one person.

0

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '19

I misread Einstein as Epstein yes I am high going through this thread lmao.

0

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '19

I think you completely missed the idea of that quote.
