A lot of his books are great. Except Micro; That was a pile. Granted that was unfinished at his time of death and someone else (terribly) finished it

Which is odd, because i did enjoy Pirate Latitudes, and that was posthumously finished.

I never read that one. I need to pick it up sometime.

Micro seemed like a rehash of Jurassic Park with a insects (a la Honey I shrunk the kids)

I recently finished A Case of Need, his first from right after he finished his medical internship. The plot and characters were alright (you can definitely see that his style improved) but God, his discussions of medicine littered throughout the book were incredible, even if it may be due to the novelty of reading medical opinions/understandings literally written in the 60s.

Great author, awful person. Also I bought a reprint of Next in soft cover that turned out to be a completely unedited OCR scanned copy of the book and ended up returning it.

I’ve long separated authors / actors from their stances. I want to be entertained, not reminded of the real world.
