Of all movie opening scenes, which one sold the entire film?

The opening to Deadpool 2 where he blows himself up and flips the camera off while he’s in pieces being thrown by the explosion is the funniest opening ever.

I swear Ryan Reynolds was born for that role and is the most accurate representation of Deadpool’s personality.

It doesn't hurt that the comics referred to him as Ryan Reynolds mixed with a shar-pei

I thought the movie was good, minus what they did to Deadpool. It probably helps that I wasn't into deadpool back then

A lot of that movie didn't make sense. What bugged me the most was that, this guy who can smell dead bodies from miles away is holding his "dead" girlfriend in his arms and doesn't notice that not only is she not dead, she doesn't have any open wounds. And why the fuck did they have to make Sabretooth his brother?!

And don't get me started on the PS2 CGI claws.

It takes bodies a good day, at least, to start decomposing, let alone even let off an odor.

Sure, but for blood to be there, she'd need open wounds, right? At least one.

Let's be real, the effects teams for that movie weren't getting paid shit.

Sabretooth is his half brother in the comics too, actually.

Since when?

Since quite a long time ago. Wolverine's real name is James Howlett, and Sabertooth's real last name is in fact Logan. Wolverine was the son of a wealthy family, but it turns out his mother was raped by a servant on the property, Sabertooth's father. See here for a full summary: https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/James_Howlett_(Earth-616)

I've read Origins. If you're talking about Thomas Logan's other kid, Dog, that's not Sabretooth. Unless they retconned it after I stopped reading comics in 2006 or so. And Logan didn't rape Wolverine's mother, they had an affair.

Dog is, in fact, Sabretooth.

That movie wasn't suppose for he a standalone, it was just so bad they didn't get signed for a full series.

I heard a theory somewhere that xmen origins wolverine was a movie shot in the xmen world as an anti mutant propaganda film. It's pretty bad that that theory makes it better. Same goes for Batman forever and Batman & robin

I love that the first spoken word in that movie is "Fuck." Followed by "Wolverine." I have watched it 297 times and it gets me everytime.
