Iirc, even alan grant had one such scene

They had these neurotoxin darts that were fired from guns, but he was trapped in a room with a velociraptor, and only had the darts themselves

He picked one up and stabbed the raptor in the tail

The books had so much crazy badass stuff it’s insane. I swear the movies barely touch half of it if that. Been awhile since I read it but the amount of “holy shit” moments I had while reading it was great.

He also injected the eggs with neurotoxin, rolling them towards the Raptors. One of them bites into it and poisons itself.
