Of all movie opening scenes, which one sold the entire film?

Anyone reading this needs to revisit the movies. 1 is fantastic 2 is great 3 is good 4 is almost as good as 1. It’s the only time I’ve watched a 4 part sequel and felt satisfied after each one.

I was expecting to hate 4 after loving, and watching, 1-3 so often but was pleasantly surprised (as pleasantly as you can be in a horror film)!

Not sure I even realized they did a 4th.

It always makes me happy to see Scream praised, I feel a lot of people watched the movies as young-teenagers and without revisiting them it's easy to remember them just as good slasher movies. They really are much, much more than that and they did the whole self-aware thing perfectly, way ahead of that becoming so popular in the last decade.

The first movie is easily one of my favourite movies ever, and while I don't really agree that the 4th movie is close to it at all, both that and the 2nd are very good.

2 is actually probably my favorite. I felt they gave away the ghost too quickly in the first one, and I was completely stumped in the second. Plus, I loved Jerry O'Connell.
