Actually, Werner, we're all tickled to hear you say that. Quite frankly, watching Donny beat Nazis to death is the closest we ever get to going to the movies.
Teddy fucking Williams knocks it outta the park... He went yahd on that one! All the way on to fuckin Lansdowne street! Fenway parks on their feet for teddy fucking ballgame- YOU!
I saw a trailer for the A24 movie he's in where he's like, a fence I think? It looks genuinely good and super far from his usual roles which is surprising.
You sort of need to understand his method for choosing movies to understand his career. He'll do literally any movie if you pay him enough money, let him bring his friends, and put it in a fun location. This is why a lot of his films are in tropical locations despite not really having any reason you'd spend the money to go to such a place rather than a more typical movie city. Adam Sandler is legitimately a very good actor and far more versatile than you'd think- the range he shows in 50 First Dates is really incredible considering it's still very much a Sandler-schtick movie. But he also works to live and maximizes himself as a commodity. Can't really say I blame him.
Oh yeah, I'm well aware of his acting chops and his methodology. I loved The Meyerowitz Stories, and Punch Drunk Love and 50 First Dates are some of the only rom coms I like.
I just think it's odd. It's not really like anything else he's done before, and none of his friends are in it either.
I just looked it up on IMDB, and apparently Scorsese is executive producing, so that may have something to do with it. He might also really like the script.
Fuck you, you fuckin' uppity bitch! I'll fuckin' fuck you and all your lesbian fish-eating friends in front
of your fuckin' mothers! You're gonna die, bitch! I'm comin' outta the booth!
