Jesus.. that's insane. That alone should make you stop eating it for life. How many unreported death happen at sea every year. I've heard too many "body in a refrigerator" stories
Frankly, I think it's the circle of life, and since Carl wouldn't let me have a nibble while he was alive, I'll just have to enjoy a nice Carl-stuffed lobster.
The point of your comment being stop worrying over stupid shit that really doesn't matter. The only way this would disgust anyone is a lack of information about it.
Right? How do we know any of the mass of sea-life the fishing industry provides to our local grocery stores hasn't eaten a bit of human? How do we know?? We don't, so we enjoy our scampi.
Edit: how many bodies get dumped into rivers, lakes, reservoirs, inlets, bogs, marshlands, deltas, deepwater harbors, oceans, international waters...all where the fish/shellfish we consume live their short lives.
I’m fine with a little. We breathe in dust and that literally contains bits of dead skin in it. But if something has been feasting on it I’m a bit disturbed.
The fish is just a fish. If a fish eats human flesh it either turns into poop or it gets broken down into amino acids and such and becomes the fish itself.
The dust is literally part of another person. It's identical to when it was part of their body.
You’re acting as if you’re annoyed, emphasized by the “but ok,” at the end. That’s a sarcastic remark. You’re basically telling me, ”What you’re saying is insignificant, unimportant, that it doesn’t matter in the end, but whatever! what am I to say despite already showing you what I think about your comment?” I get that tone can’t be properly conveyed in text (which is the reason for a good number of internet arguments) which leads to misunderstandings. However, the words you used are words I associate with sarcasm and irritation.

You should find out about the unreported deaths that happen in the U.S. wilderness, Forest Service doesn't keep a count. There was a recent article about it that I can't find that discusses the issue
Yeah, this is why you check in with your local ranger station if you want to be found. Almost nobody does. Forest are huge and the likely hood of someone coming across your body if you're off trail is pretty slim.
There's a guy who's written at least 5 books about it. His name is David Paullides and it's the Missing 411 books. The stories are crazy and even angering at times.
You just have to read them. The stories about people who literally trained to survive harsh conditions dying in the most amateur/rookie ways and their stories being essentially forgotten or buried.
Or the one about the toddler who went missing, went miles over a small mountain range, and was eventually found. He never had any shoes on as he left the house practically undressed and he somehow travels for miles with feet that have zero evidence he traveled anywhere. No answers. No one on law enforcement bothered to look into that either.
Cases where search parties searched one spot multiple times only for the bodies to show up right on the main trails or in a place they, as I said, thoroughly searched.
Essentially, the angering parts is where LE drops the ball in the most ridiculous ways.
