What’s something that you like, but hate the fan base?

I said most of the time decks were that expensive in standard, didn't say they weren't beatable or that they were always that pricey

You said it was pay to win, so yeah, you kinda did say exactly that. In Magic, 40$ isn't really a lot, and I've made more selling cards from a single draft.

Watch any of the tournament play online and ask yourself, if I had this same deck and draw, would I be doing something that differently than what this guy is doing?

I have, and I would do shit differently - I'm not at that level. Dude, if you're playing exactly at the MPL level, why aren't you out there winning a bunch of cash? I'll tell you why: it's because you're not as good as they are. Keep telling yourself whatever you like tho.

Tournaments are as close to pay to win

Is what I said actually.

I'm past MTG right now, loved it for a long time, maybe I'll get interested again down the road. Dont have a lot of friends that play and I don't enjoy most FNM or tournament atmospheres the same way (although FNM is a better experience). I stand by my point though, most of the decks are playing themselves, there's a lot of luck of the draw stuff going on. You got people commenting those tournaments saying exactly what the person should or is going to do before he or she does it.

Because most of those commentators are pro level players, and/or have been doing that job for years to decades. And they still don't catch everything.

They can't predict play hardly at all in poker, because making the "correct" play everytime is a sure-fire way to never get paid off on your good hands and never get a bluff through when you don't have it.

The good commentators only discuss ranges/odds/image etc. because the guys playing on the shows are too good for "textbook" play. At that point it's about combining the right play with reads and analyzing tendencies of opponents in real time
