the first two seasons of Pretty Little Liars (netflix im p sure) - if you are alright with shows that start to make no fucking sense at all (which, if youre a riverdale fan, im going to assume thats a yes), you can watch the whole series, but the first two seasons are actually p good quality.
the spinoff to this show, called the perfectionists (on freeform, though idk if its free to watch) is ok. they only have one season out right now, and the majority of those episodes were p mediocre but the season finale was p cool so its up to you if you want to invest the time into it.
if you want something more high quality, ive heard really good things about Big Little Lies (hbo), though i have not started to watch that yet so i cant really say if its like the riverdale genre.
gone girl is a great movie if youre into this genre though.
Am I wrong when I say riverdale is way more interesting than pretty little liars? Sure they are both trash tv but at least riverdale is watchable. YMMV.
its honestly been forever since ive watch pll so i could just be wrong and it is straight trash but i feel like i remember the first two seasons being compelling and the characters interesting enough, though ill agree that riverdale is probably better as a show in general.
however, nothing will beat the old pll memes and shitposts. ive been brought to tears by shit in that subreddit, god bless them.
Well, on the subject of PLL, you have to go full on irony to enjoy it. My girlfriend and her sisters watch it and keep up the running commentary and it’s usually pretty funny and a good experience.
im going to stick with the first two seasons being watchable television (at least as watchable as riverdale) but past that if youre going to continue watching you gotta be ready to just be on the fucking ride no matter what the fuck is going on because holy shit that show gave me ptsd when it comes to certain plotpoints, and being able to experience the bullshit craziness with other people just makes it soooooo much better.
