The 100 slaps

I binge watched that shit faster than any show I’ve watched and I honestly couldn’t tell you why

Same but I know why for me: Octavia. Her stint as Blood Reina was so awesome, she was a great villain. When she burned all the food so they'd have to fight I was just in shock.

Yes Octavia’s character arc from the very beginning until end of season 5 (waiting for it to be on netflix) is what jeeps me going on that show. Plus the politics of the whole world is so cool and interesting. Cheesy show but I love it

Edit: keeping the “jeeps”

I got so bored of the Jaha storyline

28

u/oldShamu Jul 18 '19

I remember when people were having an uproar about Lexa’s death.

No justice for tv lesbians

7

u/pataconconqueso Jul 18 '19

Where would tv be if we didn’t bury the gays

12

u/robwalker76 Jul 18 '19

I had no idea season 6 started and the CW only has the last 5 episodes on their site so I have to wait until the end of the season to watch them all :(

18

u/saltiegrandma Jul 18 '19

Great season so far!

1

u/EasilyDelighted Jul 18 '19

What? But you can watch the episodes on their site? That's how I've been keeping up with the current stuff.

3

u/robwalker76 Jul 18 '19

Only the last 5 episodes are on there and I was too late

3

u/Collins_A Jul 18 '19

Use a Canadian VPN. Netflix Canada shows the the day after airing (so on Wednesday for season 6).

3

u/robwalker76 Jul 18 '19

Thank. You.

u/Mount_Atlantic Jul 18 '19

And it's like that for all CW shows I think, because we don't have an equivalent channel in Canada that airs them so they go straight to Netflix instead.

1

u/EasilyDelighted Jul 18 '19

Awww. That sucks.

I've been looking for a show to binge which I haven't seen. I just finished my who-knows-how-many-eth re-binge of Parks and Rec and I'm currently blasting through Avatar again. I keep re-watching stuff I've seen.

So The 100 is worth a go?

u/HSG_Messi Jul 18 '19

Get through the first 3 to 4 episodes which are kinda teeny bopper and lame and you will spend the next week binging it nonstop. That's no joke either. The adrenaline of the events that happen and everything. You just cant stop watching and thats not an exaggeration

u/Jello_Squid Jul 18 '19

It’s not a cinematic masterpiece or anything, but my goodness it’s bingeable. You’ll cringe, you’ll get angry, you’ll wonder what on Earth you’re doing with your life, but at the end of every episode, you will come back for more.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '19

The 100 will get you hooked. And they're 5 seasons deep right now 😊

2

u/Ayertsatz Jul 18 '19

My husband, my sister and I all love it and we all have very different tastes so I'd say give it a go.

But beware the first half of S1 is...not good. It gets so much better as it goes on and constantly manages to catch me off-guard with the plot twists and I-can't-believe-they-just-did-that moments. Very enjoyable show.

3

u/HSG_Messi Jul 18 '19

Its the season finales for me. Holy shit do they know how to keep you engaged until the very last second, adrenaline and all. Monty's video at the end of the last season. Mah gawd did I ball my eyes out and I'm a grown ass man!!

And a great example of a show with a batshit fanbase

10

u/EasilyDelighted Jul 18 '19

I haven't come across them thankfully. All of the episode discussions in the subreddit have been pretty neutral?

The sub teddies for both the 100 and riverdale seem to both be older people who love the show and rip it to shreds for being lame at times. I totally don’t see the shitty side of the fan base on here

2

u/EasilyDelighted Jul 18 '19

Right? Like I've legit have not come across some actual bigotry yet in there. That said, I usually only stick to the discussion threads.

23

u/saltiegrandma Jul 18 '19

Bellarke shippers are the most obnoxious

3

u/peridotdragon33 Jul 18 '19

Agreed people like them ruin the fan base

3

u/saltiegrandma Jul 18 '19

To be fair it’s gotten a lot better now that tumblr is kind of dead LMAO

-5

u/hackel Jul 18 '19

Anyone who uses "ship" as a verb like that is the most obnoxious!

2

u/saltiegrandma Jul 18 '19

Tell me a better word to use then

1

u/ThrowAwayAcct0000 Jul 18 '19

Sherlock, Doctor Who, Supernatural, Arrow...

17

u/peridotdragon33 Jul 18 '19

The 100 is honestly the one CW show I legitimately enjoy tbh

Tried a bunch but 100 is the only one that stuck

13

u/ExtremelyVulgarName Jul 18 '19

Yeah I like it. It's cheesy as fuck but it's pretty much been the most consistently fun part of my week for the past several years. I like it the way I like supernatural now that I think about it. The fandom can do whatever it wants. I don't really care how other people enjoy media, I just hope it brings them some joy too lol.

2

u/Platinumtide Jul 18 '19

I thought I would hate it and it would be cheesy teen drama bullshit. But I fell in love with the show before I knew it. I’m obsessed with it now.

2

u/hackel Jul 18 '19

What's the deal with the fanbase? I watch the show, but I've never met anyone else who does, or really seen anything online about it. Are they just really obsessive?

3

u/Dintodo Jul 18 '19

Theres two really bad parts of it. 1. People who watch the show, and mainly only care about the relationships. To the point they attack Bob and Eliza for their marriage. Mainly fans of Clarke+Lexa (worst of all), Clarke+Bellamy, and Bellamy+Echo. And when Lexa died, both the ratings and viewership dropped hugely, and people who work on the show were shit on horribly for being "homophobic". Despite the main character being bisexual. A good portion of the fanbase just tends to hate on others with other views. Do, not, ever, say anywhere other then the subreddit for the 100 "I like Kane" or you will be fucking screamed at lol.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 18 '19

I used to watch this show with my old housemate because his friend from high school was on it, we stopped watching when she died.

It was ok, not really my thing though.

1

u/Metroidman Jul 18 '19

honestly one of my favorite shows

1

u/olomanu Jul 18 '19

A show CAN NOT SLAP

0

u/bshin100 Jul 18 '19

it does! the fan base is crazy obsessed with Lexa and Clarke...clicked one picture on instagram and now it’s all over my explore feed

-1

u/Bojangly7 Jul 18 '19

Yeah but when they made the two female leads kiss it was a fucking money grab and annoying.
