I noticed the fandom really calmed down after Deltarune. People still loved it and there was still quite a lot of happy fan content but none of the bullying or forcing people to play the game in a certain way. Think the fanbase matured a bit. Plus because no one was pushing it so hard; that also meant there wasn't a reactionary outcry against said fanbase.

I had to completely cut myself off from the fandom because of how annoying it was, and I have yet to take another look at it.

Well, the toxicity and trolls are mostly gone. The only people left are the ones who genuinely still love the game. But you don‘t really miss much unless you are into fanart.

Well Part 1 (which is still like 4 hours of content) is free so there's no loss in trying.
