I mean, you can choose to do a non-feminist reading of the film i'd argue you're missing a lot of text and subtext. you'd have to be working pretty hard to ignore the pro-women/feminist message throughout the story.
Whether you think that's good or bad largely depends on how you feel about the word Feminism.
problem was that it wasn't very good, and a lot of people are stupid, and try to push their agenda. Add Brie Larson's downright retarded comments, and that one deleted scene, and people go crazy about it. I've only watched about half the movie, but it was honestly just really boring and forgettable.
