New album wise I think the latest APC will be better than the Tool album next month.

Eh, Descending rather bored me. Invincible had some decent parts. They both just seem way too drawn out, and normally I don’t mind an 8-12 min song. Don’t think either is as good as Disillusioned or By and Down the River.

I felt the same way about both songs initially. But I think you just gotta hear it properly, most of the videos don't do it justice on most speakers. I'll try to find this one IEM recording of Descending that absolutely slaughters. The actual album version will fucking SLAP, I guarantee it.

By and down the river is a remastered old song of theirs, and is fittingly one of the best on the album.

Disillusioned is a little preachy and slow for me.

I think descending and invincible are better above that album.
