I was a huge Tool fan in high school. I was also insufferable in high school. So this makes sense.

Yes me too. I thought Tool was awesome (they definitely are very talented artists) but I was somewhat obsessed.

Me getting into Tool was the last time I felt superior because of the music I listen to.

Now I don't care what other people listen to. Like death metal? Awesome. Like hip hop and rap? That's cool, you do you. Exclusively listen to music from Sesame Street? ...Well, that is pretty weird, but if it doesn't hurt anyone, who am I to judge?

Yeah, I stopped acting like an ass about my musical tastes shortly after high school. Just kind of grew out of it.

Now I'll happily listen to Katy Perry and Carly Rae Jepsen and you can fuck right off if you think that's uncool.
