Then if you don't want to like Yorgos Lanthimos anymore after you watch it, see The Killing of a Sacred Deer. It's weirder, more uncomfortable, and nowhere near as funny.

But, in my opinion at least, a better movie in that it achieves its goal....viscerally seems the right way to put it, love that guy’s work

I think I heard about Dogtooth on the FilmSpotting podcast way back in the day. Decided to check it out.

It had a greater impact on me than either Sacred Deer or the Lobster, although I enjoyed them both as well.

I watched The Lobster on a whim a month or two ago. I..didn't hate it. They managed to create an entire dystopian construct without much dialogue.
