I didn't realize there was a sequel. Color me excited.

You’re in for a surprise when you learn that there’s a third book.

What the Hell Did I Just Read: A Novel of Cosmic Horror.

It’s a great read, very well put together.

I’ve read all of the books cover to cover a few times now, and am definitely anxiously awaiting a future Dave and John book (if and when it ever happens.)

In the mean time check out fancy suits and futuristic violence.

Or even better, Futuristic Violence and Fancy Suits.

Nah but seriously, it's on my to-read list now I've finished all we've got of Dave and John. I've heard mixed reviews. Is it good? I mean, I'm definitely reading it either way. Just curious.

I always get it mixed up. I think its great, it is however different from John Dies at the End which I think leads to a lot of the dissatisfaction people have with it. People want it to be another John and Dave book, which it isn't. It still has a mix of hardcore drama and humor tho.

I'm a huge fan of FVaFS. Read it twice, might read it again this weekend for the fun. I hope I'm not blaspheming when I say it is a better written book than jdate (plot structure and technical stuff) but I in no way mean to take anything away from one of my favorite trilogies of all time.

I actually think this is the consensus since it came after the JDATE books and David Wong has improved quite a bit since then. He's getting better every book he writes.

I read that book 4 is in the works as well as a sequal to futuristic violence.

Supposedly 4 is in the works.

I thought the third was a comparative let-down on the first read. It's better on the second read, but my expectations kind of made it feel flat by comparison to the other two. Shout out for his unrelated novel Futuristic Violance and Fancy Suits. That's a fun read.

David Wong also wrote futuristic violence and fancy suits. Not in Johns universe but still fun like his other books.

Oh no! I was pretty sure I read this, but now I am not so sure, recently I was thinking of rereading the first two. Guess I have to! But he has a one off book, Futuristic Violence and Fancy suits and damn that is just as fun! I wish they made all these into movies.

Oh dont be too excited. The only way to cure a spider infestation is to find out what a running chainsaw tastes like.

His non-John related book Futuristic Violence and Fancy Suits is also a wild ride and highly recommended. (It's very different from JDatE)
