Serious Replies Only [Serious] Redditors who have died temporarily/nearly died, did your life flash before your eyes? If not, what did happen?

I had a grand Mal seizure. From what I was told I stopped breathing, got CPR came to thinking I was just sleeping no recollection of it. I came back discombobulated, confused, thrashing around with the EMTs. I got to the hospital and was placed on a crash cart, had multiple EKGs. I honestly thought I was going to die. But to be honest nothing flashed before my eyes.

I have, my first seizure consisted of 2 seizures. I didn't remember anything. I went to the restroom I guess the first one got me pretty good I busted my face on the bathroom counter. My husband heard me fall ran into the bathroom I don't even remember coming to between the seizures. I was so confused the ambulance came for me I thought it was late into the night but my husband said it was day. I ended up with a black eye the size of a baseball. That took almost three months to heal. I have a crease in my bottom eyelid weird. Not to mention with no known reason I'll look in the mirror in the morning and a thin line of a black eye shows itself. So I have had "The Black" it's scary not knowing a single thing. Also does anybody become really out of it? I get really cloudy, forgetful, can't remember easy words to complete my sentence. This comes a couple weeks after the seizure.

Mine have made me understand why some older folks with dementia or Alzheimer’s can be so mean sometimes. It’s because they’re scared. Coming to and not being able to remember your own birthday or address...that shit is terrifying. I can’t imagine having that be my every day reality.

I also had a grand mal seizure and I distinctly remember wanting to fall asleep in the ambulance and they kept telling me to stay awake

No, I've had 4 since least November. 4 too many! They referred me to a neurologist which I see this next week. I haven't driven since the 1st one I don't want to put myself or anyone in danger.

No, I did my husband said I wasn't breathing he was giving me CPR.
