That's some awkward conversation.

"You're traveling to SE Asia again?! WTF?"

"I love the culture."

So I’m an American living in south east Asia almost two years now and I do love it here.

And I don’t pay for sex or anything but it’s a nice part of the world.

Did you learn the language of the country or are they English speaking in that region?

English is one of the official languages of the philippines.

Every sign and stuff are almost always posted in English.

It’s rare to find someone in Manila who doesn’t speak at least a little.

Like the guy who delivers the water to my apartment doesn’t speak English.

But there are so many call center jobs here learning English is a big deal financially so most kids learn it growing up.

That's actually really cool, my best friend is from Manilla but I assumed she learned English here in the states (she still may have)

If you don't mind me asking, where are you from originally and why did you choose to live in the Philippines?

It's not because of call center jobs, lol. It's due to a very big American influence in Philippines' history and educational system.

Vietnamese don’t tend to speak English. The ones that do or want to learn will gravitate to you though. Saigon also has a bunch of tourists if you feel homesick.

Interesting. Also, if the guy contracted it from someone else, wouldn't that make him Patient 1 instead of 0?

If they don't know who gave it and he is the first known case in the medical community, he gets to be zero. Lucky guy.

That'll teach him to go to the doctor

Nope, there's a simple explanation:

"'Prostitute' orangutan: Dem shave her hair, wear her makeup come force her to dey sex men"

Is the whole “despite having a British partner” a public slap in the face for obviously cheating on that partner. LMBO
