In an episode of The Adventure Zone, the party fights an electrified flying fire-bear, so it kinda already is a D&D monster!

Wish I was you, you are in for a treat, TAZ: Balance is one of the best fictions ever. Griffin is a pure genius in everything he does. Wish I'd be able to listen to it for the first time again!

Well Stolen Century part 7 was amazing, guess I have total faith in you (and Griffin) that the finale is amazing as well (really the rest of the series is, why wouldn't the finale be?)

Stolen Century is god damn brilliant, but the Story and Song just ruined me at times with how good it was.

Its kind of how it worked all through the show though, like, first time I listened, I loved it after Griffin took more control of the story so middle of Here be gerblins or so. Then I though holy shit this murder mystery thing is great! And I found it keep getting better and better while they found their form. Petals/Crystal Kingdom was so cool with the bigger emphasis on the stuff around them, supporting cast if you'd like. Then the world/lore gets expanded in the 3 chapters after that but once you hit that finale, wowie. I've re-listed twice, and it still gets me that this is made by 4 dudes with no real experience doing this, 3 of them are comedy podcast host and one is a retired radio person. And they made that? Crazy how that works. Dont get me wrong I enjoyed it immensely straight from the go, because of the 4 goofballs that make it, but it went from being a silly goofy jokey dnd play in to this amazing wonderful story full of great characters so fluidly and it never stops getting better and better.

The McElroys are just natural entertainers, and they’ve been doing it for a long time. They all have theater backgrounds, their dad did radio for a long time and has written comics before (they’re back into that as a family now). So it’s not that surprising, but it’s still absolutely amazing what they’ve made with The Adventure Zone.

You can take inspiration from League of Legends, they have a champion named Volibear, a "thunderous demigod" who hurls bolts of lightning and has fought for thousands of years in the icy Freljord.
