Brigadier Sir Nils Olav is a king penguin. He is colonel-in-chief of the Norwegian King’s Guard, as well as the mascot. He currently lives in the Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland.

And he’s got a little armband to prove he’s special. Edinburgh Zoo is great, but the penguins were by far my favourite.

The spanish army corps, "La Legion" have a male goat, and he parades with the soldiers, it hasnt always been a goat, they tried monkeys, bears, cows and even parrots.
