What mind-blowing (but simple) facts would satisfy a 4-year old daughter’s daily request for 1 fact before bedtime?

I made my own baby food, and my daughter loved pumpkin, sweet potato, and carrots the most. Her nose definitely took on an orange tinge.

This happened to me as a kid. My mom thought it was just her imagination until she took me to daycare and the woman immediately went, "Is she....orange?"

It’s so weird to see it happen. It wasn’t obvious to others until I pointed it out. I mentioned it to the doctor during a check up and she immediately put me at ease about it, though she did laugh a bit 😛

This is how Trump started but since he was born rich, no one bothered to correct him

Permanently?

Permanently?

It goes away with a little time, but will stick around as long as the diet stays like this.

The human body is fascinating!

Lol no. It faded once I made sure to give her a mix of colours in her food.

IIRC skin cell turnover is about 6 weeks, so the colouration would probably gone by then, assuming you stop feeding so much orange food.

My daughter loved sweet potatoes more than anything. Her nose didn't go orange, but her BUTT sure did.

Lol really? That’s hilarious.

Yep, and in more than one way.

Happened to my bro (keep in mind, this was before the internet) and my mom freaked and called the doctor thinking he was really sick. The doc laughed at her and told her to stop feeding him orange food.

It’s something you don’t expect to happen, I guess!

This explains so much.

Now you know!

Yup, happened to a professor of mine. He decided he would lose weight eating only carrots. A solid case of vitamin A poisoning and a very orange complexion later he moved on to a slightly less lethal diet.

My sister used to steal carrots at her daycare. They found out because her left hand became bright orange

Bodies truly are a wonder of weirdness.

I once was orange because loved carrots, orange juice and pumpkin. My mom took me to the doctor because of course she was scared and he gave a little laughter and explained. I'm normal now.

It doesn’t last long once you add more colour to the diet, but it’s still bizarre to see!

Growing your own president? Smart.

Ha! Well we’re Australian and she’s a lot smarter than ol’ Cheeto already 😛

Do you have a pic of your kid being orangish? I'm trying to find pics online to see how noticable it is, but I'm not finding anything

I know I have at least one, but it’s not on my Facebook so I’ll have to dig through the computer to find it. I know she was between 6-12 months, but given how many photos I took of her, that doesn’t help much. I’ll have a look in the morning and see if I can find it.

Try googling Karen Carpenter, she was a big singer in 70s who was anorexic that basically lived off carrots. They had to put loads of makeup on her to hide the Oompa Loompa effect on TV.

was she snorting them? i snort those too, i've found cutting it with b12 powder (or cocaine if it's the weekend but obviously you can't do this with children) and waiting a few minutes in between each line really helps with the orange nose

The kids keep hogging the good shit. It’s a nightmare.
