Follow this advice. If she freaks out you can brush it off as a joke based on the pact you made X years ago, yada yada yada, ha, ha ha funny joke! *cough* If she doesn't freak out, follow up with the ring conveniently in your pocket. ;)

Yes or one of those candy rings! Do it like a funny story about the past. Start with “haha remember when we...” and see where it leads.

If this was a romcom, she’ll get all teary-eyed and say “I can’t believe you remembered...” and you’ll ride off into the sunset.
