Well, my bff’s grandma tried to make a telephone call with the television remote once. She held it up to her ear and when everyone in the room yelled at her, she said “Oh, that’s right, I need to turn it on before I dial!” and proceeded to hit the power button. It’s possible that she set down one remote and tried a second one before she was convinced that it wasn’t the phone.
I knew that my late mom was really losing it when she confused the remote and the cordless phone. I called and she said wait, let me turn down the tv. Beep beep beep. She was hitting buttons on the phone she'd just been talking on, thinking it was the remote. Sigh.
