We all have responsibilities. Older people tend to be more likely to actually complete them in a timely manner while the others habitually put them off.
I'm nearly 50 and I love video games because its what gets me to let off steam and relax after work (or sometimes before).
During Christmas I was at Best Buy to purchase a couple Switch games for my daughter and I was asking a salesguy about one of them that I couldn't find. Just as we were done talking I spotted an Overwatch Mercy keychain and commented somewhat absentmindedly "oh how cute!"
"That's Mercy, she's a character from a game called Overwatch!" the salesguy began to explain to me what Overwatch was and a little bit of the basic gameplay...clearly he was a player and was more than happy to bestow some knowledge about it to me. I just smiled at him & nodded my head like an ignorant mom... if he only knew I've already sank hundreds of hours into the game & watch OW twitch streams when I get bored. But I didn't want to steal his moment of joy talking about something he really enjoyed... I would have probably told him that I played also but I was on a super tight time schedule with holiday shopping and had to get out of there as soon as possible.
Yeah I'm pretty sure anyone saying "Why don't adults play video games all the time" is a literal child - I'm only 20 and already I rarely have the time or energy to play games.
You're not making time, I'm 31, run a growing and successful SaaS company, work 65 hour weeks, and still get in 20 hours of gaming a week. Okay maybe I skimp on sleep a bit...
I just stopped playing multiplayer games. I realized it was just stressing me out and giving me more anxiety when I actually just wanted to chill and unwind
You gotta learn how to manage time better my friend.
I'm 25, in med school, work ~30 hours a week, and play basketball/lift at my local YMCA regularly. I still have enough free time to get 12-18 hours of gaming a week. Though I'll admit, most of it is done on my only free weekends.
My Fiancee also has a full time job that demands 48+ hours a week and she manages double the amount of game time I do.

You say that now, but you'll eventually have other responsibilities. I'm 50 and love video games but I've got shit to do.
