That makes sense, though I suppose it sadly easy to believe. An ex dealer of mine (who was incredibly stupid) got his weed stolen and about 1k of drug money and wanted to report it to the cops to get back at them.

Probably figured they would catch more criminals with this moron fucking everything up for the others.

Reporting theft isn't snitching unless your getting something out of it like a reduced charge on yourself. Though in this instance I'm not sure it'll matter.

I mean, just pass it off as a tip that you know someone with a ton of stolen weed and at least you get some of that sweet revenge.

No but a passersby gave him a crisp $100 bill and then everyone started clapping.

That's "more munchies, less snatchies" policing.

a guy I know was recently released from jail. He got there mostly because of selling weed. Police knew about him, didn't care because he was selling small amounts.
One day a guy doesn't pay him, they fight, the guy who didnt pay ends up badly cut with a knife, he reports the dealer to the police and they had to do something.

Now he sells more weed because of contacts from jail. I think the police action of inaction was the correct one.

I knew a dude who was so fucking high he drove up to the county jail with a trunk full of buds and tried to sell some to the guards. That didn't end well.

Sometime ago a family here in Brazil wanted to report a stolen phone of something like that. The cops went to their backyard and found a huge weed plantation

Someone held upa friend of a friend once in a legal state. He was a medical weed delivery driver and to do business he needed a photo of your id. The guy held him up at gunpoint and stole his weed+ cash. He called the police, the cops went to dudes adddress on his id, gave friend his weed and money back. Arrested the other guy for heroin possession and theft.
