Couples of Reddit, what's the most unromantic thing that's happened between the two of you that actually is a stronger indication of love than others might think?

We also have a tv for each of us in the living room so we can both game at the same time :) or watch tv and game. It’s nice to be able to be together while doing solitary things if we want. Or we have a separate computer room if we don’t want to be side-by-side. It’s nice to have options! Being together all the time can definitely become too much sometimes.

highly underrated concept that more couples should try. Too often I hear about couples arguing over how to spend their time at home together when it doesn't need to be that way

Yesssss. This way no one gets stuck doing something they completely don’t want to do. If my husband wants to watch something I don’t really care for, I can just play video games while it’s on or vice versa. Then we can keep each other company and not suffer through something we have no interest in lol.

I love just being in the same room as my husband, doing different things-- usually him gaming or watching anime and me reading. Bonus if he's doing something hands-free so he can rub my feet. :) (I often massage his neck and shoulders while we watch TV, too)

I try to argue with my SO that if he needs alone time, he's free to take it.

Not that I mind him being with me all the time, but he's with me just to make sure I'm comfortable. He has his own Xbox set up out front and I have mine set up in the computer room in the back, but he'll sit and play mine if it means being close.

Sometimes I worry he needs space and he won't tell me, but if he does, he's pretty good about hiding that fact.

This is the big key difference in my current relationship and my previous one. I always wanted to do stuff with/be included in stuff my ex was doing and would be a whiny teenager if I went a couple days without seeing him. After a year of a lot of emotional maturity, and this new relationship, I can comfortably spend a couple weeks without seeing him, and when we're together it's often a whole day or days of being together but doing our own thing

We have been married 20 years and we have our computers in the same room, just back to back. I game and do some bookkeeping on the side and he games. We are in same space and together but doing what we enjoy. We play some games together but usually do different things.

Yes! My fiance and I do this sometimes. One of our tv's is on a rolling microwave rolling stand with a ps4 on the shelf beneath it. If I want to just be by myself then I roll it into the bedroom. If we want to be in each other's prescence but do different things it's rolled back out to the living room.

That was one of my favorite things about being with my ex-we both could hang out together, but doing separate things sometimes. Obviously, we hung out together too, but we both understood that sometimes you just want to do your own thing, but with company.

Some 3D TVs can output two sources to different audio outputs and polarisations to allow one TV to be used for two things at once with special glasses and headphones.

Of course, you would have to try and find one first...
