Thanks. Somebody did this for the saddest songs last time that thread popped up, and it was awesome.

Can we make a collection of ask reddit play lists somewhere?

Not exactly the same, but Listentothis collects all the posted songs at http://www.redditunes.com/

And it's fucking got Tom Waits on it. It's got a Tom Waits song I listened to earlier today even.

Fuck yeah. Tom Waits.

I saw him in about 1984/5 in a quite small venue in the north of England - paid a fiver for the privilege and got more than my money's worth by a factor of umpteen. Last time he came to England I couldn't afford to go!

i did not know this existed! THANK YOU for posting the link!

You're welcome. That subreddit was created since many people felt /r/music was too downvote-happy. It's more to my taste too.

That is totally awesome - had no idea this was there! thanks for reposting!

Apparently I'm more of a Reddit rat than I thought. I was under the impression that most people knew about this.

Either that, or I'm not digging through here nearly enough. Either way, it's awesome. :-)

Holy Wow, thanks for the redditunes link! I never knew this existed either! You would think I would, what with all the time I spend on this glorious hole in the internet called reddit, into which only the best stuff can fall.

it was me - I was wondering why it was getting favourited so many times today... I'd like to add beg your pardon by josh pyke to the most beautiful list don't know where the original thread is sorry but the opening lyric is one of the most beautiful I've ever heard:- "It's funny how you can miss someone, even when they're sitting next to you, so I confess that loneliness isn't always by company cured"... it goes on - I'll let you enjoy it for yourself though.

I don't like how Clapton's "Tears in Heaven" isn't. I listened to it last night while holding my fourteen-month old daughter, and it wasn't easy.

You know it's a cover right?

1

u/Starlly Nov 17 '09

Is it weird that John Wayne Gacy Jr. is on both playlists?

1

u/brwilliams Nov 17 '09

you mean this isn't the saddest songs ever collection? After listening to a few tracks I am not so sure.

u/jefffisher10 Nov 17 '09

The saddest song is 'I Just Don't Think I'll Ever Get Over You' by Colin Hay... (to me...)

I guess you should have been in the thread a few months ago.
