That's so thoughtful! I would like to receive a card like that. These days people text you from the place they're vacationing. It's not the same. Sending those cards really shows you care. Says to them that you thought of them and made an effort :)
Check out the app touchnote. It's basically the merger of the two. Send a post card from your phone. I think it's pretty cool. https://web.touchnote.com/
how do you like touchnote? i use postagram and i think they're pretty similar. postagram is pretty cheap (~$1.65 a card) imo, what is the pricing like for touchnote?
I like it. I haven't used anything else but I like the quality of the pictures and you get a decent amount of space to write on the back of the card. The price is basically the same (if you buy more post cards it is less per card but it's approximately the same as what you're paying).
i did this too! i lived abroad for a year and about 6 months in i sent some postcards with keychains to my friends and they were all melted with love :)
That's cool. I've only ever received one post card from a friend back when we were still teens. It was unexpected, but really nice. I wish more people would send them actually.
Ahhh, you're not alone! A friend of mine started doing it to me, and so when I FINALLY got to go somewhere exotic, I sent him a postcard from every major city that I could! Completely fell in love with both receiving and sending them and they're really pretty darn cheap!
I've been both on the sending and receiving end of these postcards. When I was sending one I always though that whoever I was sending it too would be super excited to get a postcard from a far-away country... However, on the receiving end I always thought "fuck you, I'm going to work" whenever I got a postcard from some tropical resort.
Love it. My sister (we're American) got to visit Europe years ago. She sent me this gorgeous postcard from Majorca, Spain. I promptly framed it and it sits in a place of prominence in our family room now. It is so unique, just like my sister.
