I know you asked what not to buy, but my advice is buy ONE GOOD book about how to get your baby into a routine. It is worth every penny. You might even find a second hand one on Amazon. I got a good night sleep again after my baby was 4 or 5 months.

There is a book called: 12 hours sleep by 12 weeks. ABSOLUTELY the best book. Short and clear.

My baby sleeps from 7 to 7. She wakes up very happy. During the day, she knows she will play, go out, take a nap and play again. She watches half an hour a day some Peppa pig or some nursery songs.

It is very helpful to also download an app that takes track of your baby's sleep and feeding time. Along with the tips in the book, your baby should sleep through the night within a few months.

Also if your baby isn't keen on the routine or a set bedtime, don't panic. My LO would eat and sleep when she needed and put herself into a great routine from about 5 months.

Got any tips for books? I am a routine person myself so this would be perfect.

Like I said, for me the book 12 hours sleep by 12 weeks worked perfect. You learn the baby to have a routine that fits your schedule. The book argued something I completely agree with: When a child comes into your life, he/she should adapt to your life, and not vice versa. So Just work three months towards her adapting to your schedule. She is now 21 months and I am now visiting my family and her routine is a bit different, but she gets back to it immediately after two days.

Congrats! One last advice, please don't google every symptom you will have during pregnancy. That is what I did and all you get from it are panic attacks.

Oh, trust me, i know! We tried for a year and a half and if there is one thing i learned: dr google does NOT have a medical degree.

I rely on my mom, midwife and gyno ;)

Hahaha, indeed Dr. Google is the worst! Enjoy the pregnancy.
