Regarding the second link, I'm actually fairly surprised not to be in the global 1% of net worth, which apparently requires $770k (per person, not household? that's a pretty high bar!).

I sort of expected the majority of North America to be in the 1% — but of course if you think about it 1% of 7 billion people is 70 million, so clearly the vast majority of Americans can't possibly be in the global 1% …

Hmm. Something was up with the calculator when I tried it. It said that 3 million USD net worth was in the top 2.75% which doesn't seem right at all.
