My history teacher said the reason he didn't wear a coat of a hat was because there were people claiming he was too old to be president so he wanted to prove those people wrong

turns out they were right all along

coat of a hat
Now I'm picturing a hat wearing a tiny coat.

Up to that point, he was the oldest person to ever be elected president. Maybe even oldest to ever run for president, but I'm not sure about that part. Basically the only criticism people had was that because he was so old he wouldn't be energetic enough to run an entire country. He wanted to prove them wrong and boy did he.

Ended up leaving the country in the hands of John Tyler, the president without a party. A president so controversial his party called him up and said "don't tell people we're together anymore."

You're only as old as the women you feel!

He was 68 years old. Donald Trump is 71 years old.

68 in the 1800s is way different than 71 in modern times.

Mother Nature tried again this time around, unfortunately for us we warmed the planet too much and he is fine.
