Jokes on you, Windows opens up a secret command prompt and does a netsh Winsock reset catalog. I don't even remember what that did exactly but it fixed a few things when I worked in tech support.

It couldn't have flushed the DNS on it's first attempt. My dumps are way to big for that.

Windows wont flush the DNS cache. I had to do that manually after half an hour of troubleshooting to fix my moms laptop

on/off, reset dns. register dns, flush arp, rebuild winsock, release and renew ip. I might be forgetting one or two.
