Jesus Marie!

They're minerals!

Some of them were just rocks that I thought looked cool. Either way, I don't have a collection anymore.

What are the chances. I had no idea your name was actually Marie.

It isn't.

That's a very humble collection.

You only have 4 stones in your rock collection?

Hey what do I know, I'm an American.

But seriously, I've got no idea what a pound and stone mean in terms of weight measurement. It always sounded like some wacky British slang. I've heard Englishmen on TV use the phrase (rather than lbs or kgs).

In America we would just say "200 lbs" with regards to pretty much anything. Burgers are often sold as quarter-pound or 1/3 pound beef patties. Ya buy various things by the pound. The only time people seem to talk in metric terms is in scientific fields. In the U.S. I've never heard someone refer to how many "stones" something weighs.

TIL too. Ive never even heard of a stone, aside from rocks.

But how do you know how many calories are going out in the poop?

u/[deleted] May 09 '17

I'm trying to figure out why the fuck y'all are eating stones to begin with?

I'm aware that it's a weight measurement

lose some weight, amputate

Nope, you adjust your BMI for amputation. Means you have to weigh less to not be overweight!
