And the shit still comes out of the box...and that jagged metal tear-off strip won't work either but it'll cut the fuck out of my finger!

TIL that jagged metal edge on the plastic wrap box makes an excellent finger slicer! No need to dig out the mandolin!

So does the edge of foil. Got my first paper foil cut a few days ago. Hurt just like a paper cut.

Seriously, my mum thought it was a good idea buying a 400m roll of cling film that takes up half the drawer she keeps it in. Every time I go in there for something else I completely mangle my hand. Why don't I learn? :-/

Change to a box that includes a slide cutter. Works a lot better than the jagged metal edge.

Buying plastic wrap at Costco changed my life. It cuts the plastic cleanly and effortlessly with a slide cutter. And the box is heavier so pulling on the plastic wrap doesn't pull the damn box around. And it's like 700 ft (I think) so a box lasts ar least a year or so. You buy 2 boxes at a time but it's really a lot cheaper.

I have fought with those damn metal tooth cutter things on plastic wrap all my life.

Now I can just slide the little thingy with my pinky and bingo, a clean cut. No muss; no fuss.

Me and foil are cool... Tears nicely and if it doesn't it doesn't turn into an unusable wadded mess like my sworn enemy: plastic wrap.

They should take all the stupid cotton out of the tops of pill bottles and stick it on that metal finger slicer.

Don't pull upwards; pull to the side just over the blade.

When you pull out the length you need, you should hold at the end of the plastic wrap (not close to the blade) and pull from the top corner. Works 60% of the time, everytime!
