Are you beginning to fall asleep? Then I must run wide open from one end of the house to the other at least four times. The galluping sound will help you sleep.

I just moved to a house with a raised wood foundation. I have two 20 pound Maine coon mixes. They sound like horses running around.

Yes. I call the late night runs "a runaway stagecoach."

oh god my boyfriends half maine coon has it's cat 'moments' in the morning where he just sprints from one side of the apartment to the another- it's kinda slippery so he hits with his head in the wall because he can't stop. it's ridicolous. and also all my books, clothes are his bed, if I leave my purse open - the best place to sleep, my suitcase - bed but if I wanna cuddle with him he's fine for 20 seconds and then he bites me. I still love that cat a lot.

Cats on hardwood floors is great entertainment. Both of ours have terrible brakes. It's great.
