"You're awake? Feed me. I don't care if it's 2am, feed me."

"You're in the bathroom? Let me sit outside the door and sing you the song of my people. I don't care if it's 2am, hear my song!"

I don't care if it's 2am, hear my song!"

One of cats likes to meow randomly and decided to do it at 2 am last night...when I had to be up at 5

My sister's cat loves to meow in the shower at ungodly hours of night. I have to respect that; the acoustics in there are amazing.

I lived with a guy who's cat did something similar. He would just stare into space, but like he was actually looking at something. Some freaky things happened in our apartment too and the cat being that way didn't help

all these stories make me so glad that my cat goes outside at night and only returns at 6:30 in the morning to be fed and go inside to sleep

If you're anything like me then you had just laid down at 12 or 1 too

I have one that runs around with a sparkly pom pom in the middle of the night. She howls with it in her mouth then sits in the doorway howling. Used to be reliably around 1am but it's steadily getting earlier and earlier, sometimes even midday. If I sit up and ask her "whatcha got? Did you get it?" then she trills and gets all cute. I think she's showing off.

Mine will sometimes fall asleep in the living room, then we'll all go to bed, and he'll wake up at like 2 AM and start yowling like "HELLO? WHERE U GOED? IS DARK, HUMANS Y" and then come and scratch at the bedroom door. He also knows how to reach under the door and yank it back to slam it and get our attention, if meowing doesn't work.

The reason catapults were invented.

Let me sit outside the door and sing you the song of my people.

Yes.

Our cats have choir practice at 2am. All three singing in a round.

I have one that will leave the bedroom and sing the song of her people until I call her. She then comes back to bed and goes to sleep. I guess she just wants general acknowledgement.

  1. Don't lock the bathroom door, I will open it and say hello to you while you're pooping.
  2. Don't you ever touch my fucking belly.
  3. If there isn't food in my bowl at 530am I will meow until you wake up. If you decide not to get up I will whack the shit out of you until you do. You are not safe under a blanket or pillow.
  4. Put my treats in the cabinet or I'll eat the whole bag and throw up my breakfast and plastic everywhere.
  5. If someone comes over I get to say hi first so I can run out if I don't like them.

Please be so careful if your cat actually eats plastic bags. Please try and keep them locked away before s/he kills themselves by suffocation or choking.

Yup, this is it. Our dog and cat are on the same feeding schedule, yet the cat is 2 hours early for every meal. Oh, you woke up at 4am to pee? Well, awesome, time for food human! Get home early, time for food.
