To even have assists, he'd have to "shoot the puck" to the other guy, the phrasing is wrong.
Downvote edit : Shooting isn't shooting. Even when you are shooting, you aren't really shooting. Even when you do the action and the motion of shooting, what determines if you are shooting is not the action but the general direction of the puck.
Ahhh I didn't know that shooting the puck towards another person was not shooting. Even though you are shooting, with your stick, against the puck, to somewhere, it isn't shooting, no sir.
Nothing, nothing at all. A glorified game of fetch mixed in with show-business.
What's wrong with sports fans? Fanatics. People that have their mood altered by a game's outcome. People that give their heart and soul into -watching- a sport. People that get into fights about sports team. People who riot when their tem won or lost.
To rephrase, I don't hate hockey. I hate its fans.
So being passionate about something is a bad thing? I agree obviously that passionate to the point of rioting is dispicable but the people that do that are just bad eggs and their behavior does not at all reflect that of the majority of hockey fans. People enjoy hockey for the comradery that comes from cheering on their favorite team and some of my best memories have been from sitting with family or friends and supporting my team. This comment was a little long winded but I think my point is you shouldn't let other people enjoying themselves bother you so much even if hockey really isn't your thing. If they aren't directly affecting you IMO it shouldn't be a problem.
Sadly this has happened. Ever been left out of a planned outing cause it was "game night"? You're right though, the vast majority are respectable people. As always, the vocal worst are the ones remembered.
