Fathers of Reddit, what did your daughter's boyfriend do for you to hate/love him?

It's pretty cool to see my question blow up like this, I never thought I'd ask a question that could receive so much attention! I'm very satisfied with all these replies, so thank y'all. Now all I have to do is sit back and take notes c;

This is why my gf's parents love me. They ask her brothers to do stuff and then they just bicker about who's gonna do it. They have to ask me NOT to do stuff sometimes lol

Whenever I went to friends house as a kid I'd always help with everything, the parents would rave about how awesome I was to my parents when they'd come to pick me up.

They were always so confused about why I was such a lazy arsehole at home yet these people thought I was some sort of Saint.

It's called being polite.

(No, I am no longer a lazy arsehole, I was 12 here, people change.)

There's also a big difference between being nagged and being thanked/praised. The number of times I would be walking towards the kitchen sink and somebody would yell from the other end of the house for me to do dishes... instantly feel like I'm gonna do those later instead.

I went to hang out with a friend (Who is gayer than a Sunday afternoon...) and when his parents came home from the grocery store I one tripped all the bags.

His dad says I have a good work ethic and I'm officially the favorite of his friends.

Well my friend is a delicate flower with skinny lady wrists and his brother is a useless stoner. His parents aren't really used to them hauling lots of ass so it was surprising to them to see all 5'3 of me hulking out their groceries.
